Energy Management Systems for Residential Buildings With Electric Vehicles and Distributed Energy Resources

This paper proposes two electric energy management systems (EMSs) in the context of a grid-connected residential neighbourhood with vehicles (EVs), battery storage, and solar photovoltaic (PV) generation. The EMSs were developed to minimize cost electricity whilst having no impact on routine individual needs travel patterns. evaluated using common sets real data aim compare effectiveness centralized EMS decentralized EMS. models also accounted for capacity degradation associated costs. Simulation studies numerical analyses presented validate proposed considering high-density building Sydney, Australia. simulation results indicate that is more effective compared terms savings. It observed strategies significantly reduce drawn from grid un-optimized schemes.
